In 2002 Gujarat, riots took place in Gujarat, Many people died in these riots, More than 70% were Muslims, and 30% were Hindus. These riots took place because of an accident that took place near Godhra, in which a train was burned. In this incident, 60 Hindus died, who were returning from the Ayodhya, after a religious ceremony. For this incident, CM Narendra Modi passed a statement that local Muslims are responsible for this incident. The next day, Vishwa Hindu Parishad had a general strike, and during the general strike, riots took place, and thousands of people died. People were robbed, females were rapped, and more. Modi and the Government of Gujarat faced a lot of criticism and trolling for not handling the situation. Supreme Court assigned a Special Investigation Team to look into the matter and solve the case, Modi was also targeted in this, and investigation against him, his involvement in those riots or not. Modi’s First term as Chief Minister was Finished and In his second term as Chief Minister, Modi’s government rhetoric was shifted from Hindutva to the Economic Development of Gujarat. Modi was banned by serval countries and Modi was not able to travel to these countries because of his role in the riots. But, In the years 2012, and 2013 ban was lifted back because Modi was nominated in the race for Prime Minister in the 2014 elections. Modi became the Prime Minister of India in 2014, and BJP Won Elections First time after 1984. Narendra Modi applied demonetization in the year 2016, Where Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes were banned, and new notes of 500 and 1000 were introduced. Modi in his second tenure, focused on the international issue of Jammu & Kashmir and applied a new act called the Citizenship Amendment Act, which was the anti-Muslim law that led to protests all over places in India and riots took place in which Muslims were killed. Later Farm Laws were introduced that were not supported by the farmers of India and Modi’s government was criticized, Farmers protested all over India and the main point for Protest was Delhi and as a result, the Government took back Farm Laws.
In the year 2024 Elections, BJP made government with an alliance of NDA and Narendra Modi became Prime Minister of India for the third Time. Narendra Modi’s campaign did not work well this time, the people of India were not happy with him according to the result of the elections, Narendra Modi was more confident this time and his main point of attracting voters was Ayodhya Mandir, didn’t get successful and lost Ayodhya seat in the election.
