In 2010, Neeraj Chopra under his first Coach Jaiveer Choudhary learned the basics of the Javelin Throw, Athletes Trained under Coach Jai Veer Choudhary, Neeraj Won his first bronze medal in district championships, helped him in the convincing family to leave in Panipat and do practice and make a career in Javelin throw. After being Trained under him for 1 year, Neeraj joined Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Panchkula, Trained under Coach Naseem Ahmed, who Trained Neeraj in long-distance running, and Javelin Throw at the age of 13. In Devi Lal Complex, there were no facilities and training for Javelin Throw. For learning, Neeraj downloaded videos from the internet of Parminder Singh, who is a Javelin Thrower. During his Practice at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, he achieved a Javelin Throw of 55 meters, which he increased later with more practice. At the National Junior Athletics Championship in Lucknow in year 2012, he won the gold medal with a Javelin Throw of a new national record of 68.40 meters.

Neeraj Chopra started his career in Javelin throw at the National Junior Athletics Championships in 2012, There Neeraj won the gold medal and set a new record of 68.40 meters. Neeraj won his First medal in international in the year 2014. In the Youth Olympics in Bangkok, Neeraj Won the Silver Medal. At Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Neeraj was getting better facilities, a better quality diet, and enhanced training from the last training center. 2010’s Common Wealth Games bronze medalist was assigned as his first javelin coach, Neeraj felt difficulties getting trained under him, and that’s why Neeraj left him after 1.5 months and trained himself on his own.
Neeraj’s career was growing every year with his hard work and training. In 2016, Neeraj Chopra won a Silver and Gold medal in the Asian Junior Championship and Worlds Junior Championship, Neeraj was offered to serve in the Indian Army as JCO. In 2016, Neeraj left Netaji Subhas Training Center to get trained at the Sports Authority of India center in Banglore. In the year 2017, Neeraj Chopra won the Gold Medal at the Asian Athletics Championships. After suffering from injuries in 2017, Neeraj Again Followed a Strict diet and training to be Trained best. At the Common Wealth Games in the year 2017, Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal at the record of 86.47 meters. At the Doha Diamond League, Neeraj again broke his record for Javelin Throw at 87.43 meters. In the 2018 Asian Games, Neeraj won the gold medal. At the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in 2021, Neeraj won the Gold Medal in the Javelin Throw and overall 7 medals won by India, which surpassed the previous record of 2012 in which won 6 medals. In the World Athletics Championships, Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in the javelin throw in the year 2022, and In 2023, Neeraj Chopra won the Gold Medal. In the Asian Games 2022, he won the gold medal, and In the Diamond League, Neeraj Chopra won the trophy in 2022. In 2023, Neeraj was in second place, and in year 2024, Neeraj was second.
